Physical Violence

As a complex socio-cultural concept, the phenomenon of interhuman violence is commonly divided according to its physical and systemic manifestations. Physical violence refers to any kind of harm that jeopardizes individual bodily integrity and autonomy. Physical violence therefore includes infliction of physical injury, both as form of torture or method of killing, as well as use of immediate force against human body in terms of forcible relocation (deportation), immediate assault against psychological stability, or calculated withholding of necessary nutrition and medical care.
